Today a group of our interns were tasked with familiarizing themselves with the on site camera equipment. They had taken a few videos, and had been manually adjusting the settings for the video camera equipment. Testing out different lighting effects and manipulating the exposure and shutter speed to some degree to create some interesting impact as well. They then moved onto testing various live effects of the camera like peaking and zebra to become more accustomed to the various potential uses the live effects have for acquiring a better shot. The group had a general amount of training with the equipment and had used it for specific events in the past but it was very useful to have the time allotted for simply experimenting and becoming accustomed with the cameras for a more in-depth knowledge about the technology. The skills developed during this exercise will be very important with the upcoming projects that will require this equipment to be used.
